How can we surrender pan card if we have two pan cards

If you have multiple PAN (Permanent Account Number) cards and wish to surrender one, you can follow these steps:

  1. Determine which PAN card you want to keep and which one you want to surrender.

  2. Visit the NSDL website (https://www.tin-nsdl.com) and download the PAN correction form (Form 49A).

  3. Fill out the form with the details of the PAN card you want to keep and mention the PAN number of the card you want to surrender.

  4. Attach a photocopy of the PAN card you want to surrender with the form.

  5. Submit the form and the photocopy of the PAN card to the nearest NSDL office or TIN-Facilitation Center.

  6. After submitting the form, you will receive an acknowledgement slip with a 15-digit acknowledgment number. Keep this number safe as you may need it in the future to track the status of your application.

  7. It may take up to 15-20 working days for the request to be processed. You can check the status of your application on the NSDL website by entering your acknowledgment number.

Once the request is processed, your PAN card will be deactivated and you will be left with only one active PAN card.
